CONTENT SYNDICATION

The Rhode Island Department of Health Beach Monitoring Division offers several content syndication / aggregation services that are freely available to public and private organizations, media outlets and other government divisions. We have taken great care to make some of our more popular features publicly available via the web. These services include:

Press Releases

Press releases are available for syndication through an RSS/XML feed. The feed can be accessed via an RSS news-reader through the following URL: http://www.ribeaches.org/xml/pr.xml or you can use our pre-built RSS News Aggregator in order to drop our content into your website.

Press Releases are also available for syndication by way of our Beach News WebService. The WSDL description for this webservice can be found at: http://www.ribeaches.org/xml/ws/ws_beach_news.cfc?wsdl. Some knowledge of WebServices and Web Programming is required in order to use this service.

GetAllPressReleases Returns all Press Releases. (none)
GetRecentPressReleases Returns all Press Releases within the past 14 days. (none)
GetSinglePressRelease Returns all Press Releases within the past 14 days. Use the releaseID value returned from GetPressReleases or GetAllPressReleases in order to retrieve a single press release. releaseID (string)

Beach Closures

Beach Closure information is available for syndication by way of our Beach Closure WebService.
