HEALTH Recommends Beach Closings

The Department of Health (HEALTH) recommended the closure of THIRD BEACH in MIDDLETOWN to swimming due to high bacteria counts. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the areas are safe for swimming.

The following beaches are still closed:
EPISCOPAL CONFERENCE CENTER BEACH in BURRILLVILLE

Currently, 116 of Rhode Island's 118 licensed beaches are open for swimming.
